Goodbye Stanley

By Sarah Corneau

Good-bye Stanley… We’ll miss you, but look forward to bringing you back to Boston again next year.

There was a lot of hope here in the hub on Sunday when the Bruins won game 6 in what was one heck of a game; everything a playoff game should be: exciting, stressful and scary.  With fans on the edge of their seat once again, it appeared as though the Bruins could take it, with the series brought to a game 7, reminiscent of three of the series last year.

Unfortunately, last night the B’s ended their quest for the cup, losing to the Capitals in overtime, 2-1.  Washington definitely brought their best to this series and, in my opinion, the B’s definitely did not.  Yes, someone had to lose, but the Bruins played nothing like they did last year and Thomas was way off his game.

Until next year, fellow Bostonians!
