The Olympics are Here: Be Inspired!

By Nancy Panter

It’s time for the world to come together to celebrate human achievement. Every four years the Olympic Games celebrates the best of humanity. The London 2012 Olympic Games will see Athletes from 205 nations represent their country as friends, family and fans cheer them on from around the world.

Over the next 17 days dreams will come true, records broken, friendships made but most importantly we will be inspired.

Children will discover new sports to try, amateur athletes will have their passion reignited, authors and journalists will be overwhelmed with new stories to tell and photographers, videographers and artists will capture the movement and emotion to share.

The magic of broadcast television, the Internet, twitter, Facebook, smart phones and tablets will allow us to experience the highs and lows of competition like never before.

What does the Olympic Games mean to you?

To me, the Olympic Games brings the best of people on and off the field of play. They showcase the best of human achievement, bring the world together as one, foster unity and create moments we will remember forever.

London has set the stage for history to be made, now it’s time for people around the world to put aside conflict and differences and celebrate the passion, dedication, drive, determination, emotion and achievement of these extraordinary athletes and the team of people who have helped them train to compete at the greatest show on earth.

Be inspired.
