Browser Wars and Valley Traffic Heat Up Again – Could This be Good News for the Tech Sector?

There are three things that I remember vividly about the late 1990s.

  • The browser wars between Netscape Navigator and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer made constant headlines in almost every business and technology publication in existence;
  • The traffic on the 101 in Silicon Valley was so bad that it took two hours to get from Palo Alto to San Francisco – any time of day;
  • And Madonna, assisted by DJ/producer William Orbit, came out with Ray of Light – possibly the best CD she (or anyone? No, I can’t say that, I would lose my entire male reader base except possibly my friend Jack) ever produced.  Continue reading

Turn Up the Radio Madonna!

All right already, Madonna, enough with the teasers! The Material Mom released a new trailer today for an upcoming video of Turn Up the Radio, a track off her latest album. This is the latest in a long run of teaser material from the star. It’s a shift in content strategy that a lot of entertainers have taken over the past few years. I’m a fan of extending the shelf life of teasers, but a video is only four minutes of material. OK, so in this day and age four minutes is a lot of content, but still…. I can’t take it, I want to see the whole thing!

Anyway, all you Madonna fans out there, enjoy this clip – all thirty seconds of it.

Making Sense of Macy’s, Madonna and Brands that Curate
